Therapists

Hello, and welcome to my profile. I am a Psychologist, specialising in sexual health, LGBT+ affirmative therapy, anxiety, depression, stress, Chemsex and trauma. I also have experience in working with those who have experienced trauma across the lifespan, meaning I have worked with people who have experienced trauma, and traumatic incidences, in both adult life and childhood. Engaging in therapy can be a daunting experience, but it can also be an empowering and life changing one. I provide a non-judgemental and containing space to explore your inner world, so together we can explore what bothers you and work towards overcoming this. I am a gay therapist, providing a safe non-judgemental space for those of all sexualities. I have experience in working with people experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, psychosexual difficulties, childhood trauma, adult trauma, appearance related distress and much more. For more details on my background and experience, please visit my website. Choosing to engage in therapy, or choosing to re-engage in therapy with a new therapist, can be a daunting experience. However, it can also be a life changing one with benefits that may stay with you both inside, and outside the consultation room. I want to thank you then for taking the time to to consider me as your therapist.

My view is that on some level everything makes sense. Meaning, everything we do, however painful or seemingly nonsensical this may be, has it’s roots in something from our developmental, earlier or experiential life, which has at some point served a purpose for us. Though, these processes and behaviours may lose their effectiveness over time. If we were to work together, we could look at some of these processes together, explore their origin, their benefits, their costs, and together examine whether you would like to keep these, or whether we can explore what can be done to start to let these go.
